Ace Football presents detailed betting tips on the upcoming MLS games of the weekend.

As we prepare for another matchday of the Major League Soccer campaign, our experts take a look at the bookmakers’ predictions for the upcoming games.

Let’s check out three betting tips for Matchday 18 of MLS.

Don’t expect goals when Philadelphia take on San Jose

Philadelphia reached the third in the Eastern Conference after a 3-0 victory over Montreal last weekend. This weekend, they will take on San Jose, who have conceded only one goal in their last three games.

We expect Philadelphia to push for goals when the two sides meet on Sunday. But the hosts’ incredible defensive stats on home soil convinces us that we won’t see a lot of goalscoring chances in the upcoming match.

Back Atlanta United to beat D.C. United

Atlanta have struggled for consistency so far this season, drawing all four of their latest matches.

The Five Stripes have scored more goals than any other team in the league. But that hasn’t been enough to secure them more than six victories.

This weekend, Atlanta will take on D.C. United, who’ve struggled with defensive issues in most of their away games.

We expect the hosts to beat their opponents with their superior firepower. D.C. United might be able to create a few chances against Atlanta, but their recent attacking stats suggest that won’t be enough to save them from being outscored.

Goals likely on both sides when Montreal host Minnesota

Minnesota have slipped to the seventh spot on the Western Conference table after a string of underwhelming displays in recent weeks.

However, they have maintained their attacking consistency throughout the current season. Having scored in all of their last five league games, Minnesota will most likely find the back of the net against Montreal’s out-of-form backline.

On the other hand, however, the visitors’ defensive issues will most likely create enough chances for Montreal to score, at least once, in the upcoming match.
