Ace Football presents three betting tips on the upcoming MLS games of the week.

As we prepare for another matchday of the Major League Soccer campaign, our experts take a look at the bookmakers’ predictions for the upcoming games.

Let’s check out three betting tips for Matchday 27 of MLS.

Expect goals when LA FC host Colorado Rapids

LA FC return to MLS after suffering a 3-2 defeat against Monterrey in the Leagues Cup quarter-finals. In a home game, they will take on Colorado, who come into the game on the back of a 4-1 defeat against Toluca.

LA FC are the clear favourites to beat their opponents in the upcoming match. Having scored 13 goals in their last three games, the hosts’ in-form attacking line will most likely find enough chances against Colorado.

On the other hand, we don’t expect the visitors to spend too much time in their own half, given their latest attacking stats. This can increase the likelihood of goals dramatically.

Back Vancouver to beat San Jose

Vancouver were knocked out of Leagues Cups’ round of 32 by Tigres UANL. They now return to MLS, where they sit seventh on the Western Conference table.

Vancouver’s impressive attacking stats in recent weeks suggest they will put San Jose under pressure in the upcoming game. On the other hand, the visitors have struggled defensively in their away games, being unable to keep a clean sheet since June 4.

We expect Vancouver’s superior firepower to ensure their victory on Monday.

Goals likely on both sides when St. Louis meet Austin

Austin’s underwhelming Leagues Cup campaign ended with their elimination in the group stage. The Texas giants, who sit fifth on the Western Conference table, will meet St. Louis in MLS this week.

Austin have scored in all of their last seven away games, and we expect this trend to continue against St. Louis’ out-form backline.

However, St. Louis’ consistent attacking displays on home soil convince us that they will also find the back of the net in the upcoming game. No team have been able to keep a clean sheet against St. Louis at their home stadium since early April.
