After getting jeered in his own country, Donnarumma got a reaction from his agent through a recent interview. Mino Raiola is fuming.

Mino Raiola has Gianluigi Donnarumma as one of his most important clients and he just reacted to the way Italian fans are treating him. Earlier this week, the Italy goalkeeper returned to San Siro for the UEFA Nations League semifinal match against Spain. Raiola was the one who convinced Donnarumma that leaving AC Milan was the best choice for his career as a professional.

PSG was his next destination but the Rossoneri supporters were angry at the player for choosing money over prestige. Even before he made the trip back to Milano to play for Italy, supporters “greeted” him with a huge sign in which they told him he isn’t welcome in the city. But the situation escalated further during the Nations League match against Spain as ‘Gigio’ was jeered every time he touched the ball. After this spectacle during an international match, Mino Raiola obviously reacted.

Raiola is disgusted by the supporters’ abuse.

During a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport, Raiola came out to defend his protege by stating the following:  “I am disgusted by the whistles at Gigio, and now I wonder why Milan did not officially intervene to distance themselves from the dispute, to defend him in some way, after that ignoble banner appeared on a bridge in Milan. Do we want to talk about the threats? Did he kill anyone? I am not aware of it.

“The truth is that Milan did not know how to or could not keep him, it doesn’t make much difference. Try asking anyone, if a father, what would he recommend to his son: staying at AC Milan or going to PSG? Gigio has given everything both for Milan and for the national team and was part of the Rossoneri during some complicated years in which the team had big problems, but he was always loyal.”
