The Rossoneri went level on points with table-toppers Inter Milan after their triumph on Wednesday night.
AC Milan are aiming for the Scudetto, asserted Theo Hernandez after his side’s victory over Venezia.
Milan beat Venezia 2-0 at San Siro. Hernandez played a pivotal role in the win as he had a hand in both the goals, setting up Brahim Diaz for the opener before getting on the scoresheet himself.
The result saw Stefano Pioli’s men maintain their unbeaten streak in the new season and climb to second place in the Serie A standings, level on points with leaders and defending champions Inter Milan at 13.
“We know Venezia are difficult to face, the coach made three changes that completely transformed the game,” the left-back told DAZN post-match.
“We realized that we have to win every game and none are easy,” responded Hernandez when asked if Milan have learned from their previous mistakes and become more mature this season.
“We want to win the Scudetto.”
Manager Pioli added: “I knew the work we’d done last season would pay off this term, as it’s a process and sooner or later they were always going to reach these levels.
“We won many games last season, but in my view the thing we have more now is that we have matured and also have support from the fans that last season we were lacking.
“Our objective is to improve our home record from last season, and I think we can do that with the help from our supporters at San Siro.”
