Milan started off as the better side, establishing their dominance in midfield. However, it was Inter who opened the scoring through Marcelo Brozovic in the 21st minute.

The Rossoneri made an instant reaction, with Leao scoring the equalizer for the hosts only seven minutes later.

Milan had a few more chances to complete their comeback but they had to wait until the 54th minute to score their next goal.

Olivier Giroud smashed Leao’s assist into the back of the net with a precise shot to put Milan ahead. He then provided an assist for Leao, who completed his fantastic performance by making it 3-1 for Milan.

The Portuguese star dribbled past two Inter defenders before scoring his second goal of the night with a powerful finish.

Inter returned back to the game by scoring their second goal through Edin Dzeko in the 67th minute. However, they lacked enough intensity to complete their comeback and prevent Milan from winning the derby.
