Despite their incredible run of form in Serie A, Milan have failed to live up to expectations in the Champions League. The Rossoneri continued their poor Champions League form against Porto.

Luis Diaz scored the opening goal for Porto in the sixth minute. The Portuguese side were close to doubling their lead, but an own goal from Chancel Mbemba Mangulu changed the game’s dynamic.

Both teams pushed for the match-winner in the second half, but they remained too cautious about their opponents’ counter-attacks.

The Rossoneri returned to the Champions League after eight years, but they have to leave as early as the group stage. On the other hand, Porto still have the chance to qualify for the next round as they sit third in the group.
