The Milan derby ended in a draw with everything remaining the same on top of the Serie A table.

Milan were held to 1-1 draw in their Serie A match against their city rivals Inter on Sunday. On a night that Napoli drew their game against Verona, the Rossoneri missed their chance to go on top of the league table.

Everything settled in the first half!

Both teams showed great hunger to get the first blood at the beginning of the game. Following a foul by Franck Kessie, Hakan Calhanoglu opened the scoring for Inter from the penalty spot.

Milan responded only six minutes later as Stefan de Vrij turned Sander Tonali’s free-kick into an own goal.

Inter continued to attack to get the match-winner throughout the second half. However, they wasted multiple chances, especially in the final twenty minutes. Alexis Sanchez came the closest when his shot was denied by the post in the extra time.

Both teams stay where they are on the Serie A table. The Rossoneri stays second behind Napoli, with Inter following them closely.

After the international break, Milan meets Fiorentina on November 20 while Inter face Napoli a day later.
