Just hours after reports emerged claiming Arsenal lodged a bid for Mudryk, the winger shared footage of Eddie Nketiah’s winner against West Ham on social media.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta played down talk of Mykhailo Mudryk’s social media activity being a clue as to his potential move to the Emirates on Monday.

On Instagram, Mudryk revealed he watched Arsenal’s Premier League match against West Ham. He shared footage of Eddie Nketiah’s match-winner. The goal completed a 3-1 comeback win for the Gunners.

“The good thing is that in England you don’t have many other matches in other countries,” Arteta said about the social media post after the match.

“We are the only ones playing through Christmas. Hopefully a lot of people have watched our game and we give them a good show.”

Mudryk’s actions came shortly after reports emerged claiming that Arsenal had made a £55 million offer for the Shakhtar Donetsk winger.

“You know I never speak about players that are not with us and I know in this transfer market you have to ask me the question,” Arteta said when asked about the rumor.

“We said we will try and find ways to strengthen the team and we will try and find the right players.”

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli were also on target for Arsenal in the Boxing Day win. Said Benrahama had put West Ham in front with a first-half penalty. However, with three second-half goals inside 16 minutes, Arteta’s side stormed to a 13th Premier League victory.

The league leaders will next visit Brighton on Saturday for their final game of 2022.
