The Gunners add a new forward to their ranks as they aim to strengthen their Premier League title charge.
Mikel Arteta has praised new Arsenal signing Leandro Trossard for his versatility and experience.
After a failed bid to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, the Gunners moved quickly to complete a £26m move for Trossard on Friday.
The Belgian winger ends his three-and-a-half-year spell at Brighton to join the Gunners in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
Speaking after the club’s official announcement of the deal, Arteta said: “It is good work from everyone at the club to complete the signing of Leandro.
“He is a versatile player with high technical ability, intelligence and a great deal of experience in the Premier League and at international level.
“Leandro strengthens our squad as we head into the second part of the season and we’re all looking forward to working with him.”
Following the injury of Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal considered a host of forwards to increase their squad depth. Trossard’s arrival is a major step in the Gunners’ attempt to keep their place at the top of the Premier League table.
The Belgium international is eligible to make his Arsenal debut when Arteta’s men take on Manchester United in a crucial league game this weekend.
