Bukayo Saka limped off the pitch in the second half of Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Newcastle.

Arsenal defeated Newcastle with a 2-0 result in their Premier League match on Saturday. Bukayo Saka broke the deadlock in the 56th minute but limped off the pitch a few minutes later.

Mikel Arteta replaced Saka with Gabriel Martinelli, who doubled the Arsenal lead two minutes later.
In a post-match interview, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta spoke about Saka’s injury.

“It was an action where he said that he felt something [in his muscle], he wasn’t comfortable enough to continue,” the Arsenal coach said (via Evening Standard).

“We will have to assess him tomorrow and probably scan him, and see if there is any injury there.

“He felt something muscular. Let’s see what it is.”

Saka will undergo tests on Sunday to determine the extent of the injury. Arsenal will hope to have the winger back in time for their next week’s clash against Manchester United.

Saka has enjoyed incredible form recently, developing into a key player in the Gunners’ final third. The Arsenal winger is also fighting for his starting spot in England’s squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
