The Gunners resume their top-four bid in the Premier League on Monday against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided updates on Bukayo Saka, Aaron Ramsdale, and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Now the international break is over, Arsenal can regroup and prepare for Monday night. They’ll visit Crystal Palace, determined to scrap all three points to maintain their fourth position in the league table.

The Gunners will be boosted by news that Saka could be back in training on Thursday. The England winger tested positive for COVID-19 over the international break.

But Ramsdale, who missed the 1-0 victory against Aston Villa last time out due to a hip injury, is a doubt. If he can’t make the squad, Bernd Leno may deputize in goal again.

“Bukayo is feeling good. He’s training today hopefully,” said Arteta at his pre-match press conference, as per Football London.

“Aaron, it’s a doubt. He hasn’t trained yet so we don’t know what he’ll be able to do on Monday.”

Arteta added: “He wanted to play against Villa but it was a significant injury and he had to take his time and the physios are doing everything they can. We will see more in the next few days when he starts to do real training.”

As for the availability of full-back Tomiyasu, who has struggled with calf problems, Arteta said: “I think he will be close.

“He’s been training more and more. He has the boys back now, so he will be joining some sessions this week. Let’s see how he is.”

At the time of writing, Arsenal are favorites to emerge with all three points at Selhurst Park on Monday night. Bet365 has priced a Gunners win at 1.95, which suggests they have a 51% chance of winning the match.
