The Arsenal manager says his side’s summer recruitment plans are not over.

Mikel Arteta has revealed Arsenal are still pushing to get a few more deals done by the transfer window’s deadline.

The Gunners are spending a busy transfer window, adding five new players to their ranks ahead of the next season.

Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko are Arteta’s new additions to Arsenal.

The Gunners have spent over £100m so far this summer. But Arteta admits his side might get involved in more transfers before the transfer window closes.

“We are completing what we planned,” Arteta said. “There are still a few things we’d like to do, ins and outs, and that will be determined by the possibilities that are on the market.

“We know where we’re going to end up at the end of this window, and hopefully we can make it work.”

He added: “We still have some players that are in contention to stay or go, and if we have news we will communicate it.”

Arsenal were among several Premier League clubs observing Serge Gnabry’s contract situation at Bayern. However, the Bavarians went on to tie their star winger to a new long-term deal at Allianz Arena.

Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans has also been on Arsenal’s radar for months.

The Belgian star enters the final 12 months of his contract at the King Power Stadium. However, the Gunners are yet to make an official offer for him this summer.
