PSG could be about to unleash their new deadly attacking trio for the first time as Lionel Messi makes the trip to Reims.
Mauricio Pochettino has called up Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar for his 22-man squad ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s trip to Reims.
The three attackers could play alongside each other for the first time at Stade Auguste Delaune. Mbappe is the only of them to play so far this season. The Frenchman has supplied one goal and two assists to help PSG win all their opening three Ligue 1 games.
Messi has been working his way back to full fitness since his free transfer from Barcelona. The Argentina international, as well as Brazil star Neymar, began pre-season late after an extended summer holiday. The pair, of course, reached the final of the Copa America in July for their respective nations.

Will Messi, Neymar and Mbappe start?
Considering Messi and Neymar have only just returned, they may come off the bench instead. Pochettino has been keen to ease them back to action and has refused to state whether they’ll start at Reims so far.
“They have trained well and we will analyze the situation. We have not yet named the squad,” he said in a press conference. “They will certainly be part of the squad, but we do not know yet if they will play from the start.”
Mbappe, who has started each of PSG’s three Ligue 1 games, should make the line-up. Despite the ongoing transfer links with Real Madrid, the World Cup winner’s form has been unaffected.
Meanwhile, Mauro Icardi has a shoulder injury but Angel Di Maria is again available and could make his second appearance of the season.
