During his farewell press conference at Barcelona, Lionel Messi gave the latest on his transfer plans.
Lionel Messi has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain is ‘honestly a possibility’ after leaving Barcelona.
The 34-year-old held a press conference on Sunday to bid farewell to everyone in Barcelona. Players past and present attended as he addressed his departure to the world. He opened up on the shock of his exit, how contract talks fell apart, revealed he wanted to stay, and how he did everything possible to do so.
After a round of applause ended, once Messi tearfully bid goodbye, the reporters questioned him on whether a move to France was next.
Messi confirmed that could be the case, but he insisted nothing is done yet and that there are many clubs interested.
“Well, that [PSG] is honestly a possibility,” he admitted during the press conference in Catalonia.
“But sincerely, as of today, there is nothing agreed with anyone.
“When the statement came out, I had a lot of calls. Various clubs were interested. I have nothing closed yet. But we are talking. This is the end at this club, now a new story will begin.”

Holiday picture nothing more than a coincidence
Messi recently had a photo taken on his summer holiday of himself alongside PSG stars Neymar, Leonardo Paredes, Angel Di Maria, and Marco Verratti. This naturally stirred rumors of a move to France.
But the Blaugrana icon insisted it meant nothing.
“The photo with the PSG players was a coincidence, completely,” he said. “I was there with my friends, we took a photo… they told me: ‘Come to Paris!’ but it was just a joke, we were on holiday.”
