After another game without scoring against Real Madrid, Leo Messi just completed the longest goal-drought of his entire career.

Not everything is happiness for Leo Messi’s career right now, he breaks records often but today he completed a negative one. During his golden era at the club, Leo became the highest goal-scorer in El Clasico history. But something happened when Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid, he wasn’t able to continue that inspiration against his biggest rival. Today, Leo seemed tired in the pouring rain when he attempted to help Barcelona score goals.

He was dangerously close to getting an epic one from a corner-kick, but his shot hit the post. Other than that, there was no real danger coming from Messi’s boots throughout the 90 minutes. A fresh defeat against Los Blancos places a shadow of doubts above the Argentine in regards to his future at the club. Perhaps he was feeling upbeat about the recent results but he got another heartbreak today.

Will Messi stay or leave after tonight?

Leo Messi’s future at FC Barcelona seems dependent on what the club wins this season. If they manage to somehow finish the season with La Liga and the Copa del Rey, he will likely stay. However, a second consecutive season with no trophies could push him to finally make the decision to leave Spanish football for good. We are all wondering what he will decide next summer, especially with results like the one he got tonight.

Sadly, the Messi who dominated football matches with decisive goals seems long gone for Barcelona. Today marks the longest goal-drought of his entire professional career with seven straight El Clasico games with no goals against Los Blancos. The whole world is looking at him and waiting what his decision will be by the time the summer gets here.
