But something happened when Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid, he wasn’t able to continue that inspiration against his biggest rival. Today, Leo seemed tired in the pouring rain when he attempted to help Barcelona score goals.
He was dangerously close to getting an epic one from a corner-kick, but his shot hit the post. Other than that, there was no real danger coming from Messi’s boots throughout the 90 minutes. A fresh defeat against Los Blancos places a shadow of doubts above the Argentine in regards to his future at the club. Perhaps he was feeling upbeat about the recent results but he got another heartbreak today.
