A report from an Argentinian media channel has shown pictures of Lionel Messi boarding a plane to return to PSG.

Lionel Messi has departed from Argentina to get back to Paris Saint-Germain following a negative PCR test for Covid-19.

The Argentine star was announced as positive for contracting the virus in December last year. While on a vacation in his native Rosario, the 34-year-old was forced to go under self-isolation.

However, a report from Ole has displayed pictures of Messi boarding a plane to make his way back to Paris. Meaning, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has tested negative for the virus and is allowed to travel.

It has been stated that Leo Messi did not suffer from any of the symptoms of Covid-19 and went through regular check-ups. Once his negative result popped up, he was seen on the airfield with his family, ready to fly back to PSG.

Although, the Ligue 1 club will perform several mandatory tests on the Argentine ace due to strict protocols. But, the report indicates that the veteran will most likely be part of PSG’s clash against Lyon on Sunday.

The French outfit are ranked first in the league at the moment, 13 points clear of second-placed Nice. Messi’s arrival will boost their spirits for the forthcoming crucial fixture in Ligue 1.
