The Brazilian star remains in Europe after ending his glorious Real Madrid spell.

Former Real Madrid star Marcelo has completed a free move to Olympiacos.

The 34-year-old slipped behind Ferland Mendy in Real Madrid’s pecking order last season.

Having featured in only seven games across all competitions, Marcelo left Real Madrid as a free agent earlier this summer.

The five-time Champions League winner will now start a new chapter in his career at Olympiacos.

“A true football LEGEND joins OLYMPIACOS! Welcome MARCELO to Piraeus,” the Greek club wrote on Twitter.

Marcelo ended his spell at Real Madrid as one of the most decorated players of all time.

He won his fifth Champions League title and sixth La Liga trophy last season. The Brazil star also claimed four Club World Cups and two Copa del Rey’s during his 17-year stint at Santiago Bernabeu.

“I won’t retire, not now. I feel I can still play,” Marcelo said after leaving Real Madrid.

“Facing Real Madrid won’t be a problem. I’m a big Madridista, but I’m also a big professional.”

Olympiacos, who won the Greek Super League last season, have started the new campaign with a win and a draw.

The Olympians will face Volos this Sunday before meeting Freiburg in their first Europa League game of the season four days later.
