The Liverpool forward came off the pitch against Aston Villa with a suspected hip problem ahead of the club’s big match.

Sadio Mane has calmed fears over his availability for Liverpool’s showdown with Manchester United by insisting he is ‘completely fine’ and raring to go.

The Senegal international left fans worried after vacating the pitch, while holding his hip with a worried look, during the 4-1 FA Cup win over Aston Villa on January 8.

But Liverpool, who have suffered more than their fair share of injury problems this season, can breathe a sigh of relief as Mane declared he has recovered and is ready to face United at Anfield on Sunday evening.

“It was just a knock and when I got it (against Aston Villa), it took a few minutes to settle down,” the 28-year-old told the club’s website.

“It was like a dead leg, but on my hip – not my back. After the game, I put an ice pack on it and it was fine. I am completely fine and looking forward.”

Mane is expected to start alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in the attack for Liverpool’s match against United.
