Manchester United star Paul Pogba has tested positive for coronavirus and withdrawn from the France squad as a result.

While neither player has released an official statement yet, Pogba has indeed pulled out of the France squad along with Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele ahead of next month’s Nations League.

Pogba was last seen on Sunday night at a London restaurant with his heavily pregnant wife, Maria Zulay Salaues, and some friends.

According to L’Equipe, Pogba tested positive for coronavirus and will be forced to spend 14 days in self-isolation. Therefore, he’ll miss the start of Manchester United‘s pre-season preparations next week.

Replacing Pogba in the France squad, meanwhile, will be the highly-rated teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga.

The 17-year-old defensive midfielder made great progress at Rennes last season, leading to interest from Real Madrid, and has now won his first-ever senior call-up with world champions France.
