The Red Devils have not been able to get a taste of success ever since getting their hands on the Europa League trophy four years ago.
Marcus Rashford are in a better position to complete for major honors than they were a couple of years back, says Marcus Rashford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a number of changes in the Man United squad after his appointment, and improvement in the team gradually became noticeable in the previous season.
Rejuvenated under Solskjaer, the Red Devils made deep runs into the Europa League and FA Cup while also showing promise in the Premier League.
However, they couldn’t finish as No.1 in any of them, finishing third in the league and suffering elimination at the semi-finals stage in the other two competitions.
They have already been knocked out of Champions League this term but appear as strong contenders in the Premier League title race and are through to the 4th round of the FA Cup.
“We have to show we are ready to fight for what we want — and what we all want is success,” Rashford said, as per ESPN.
“We are more ready now than we were two years ago in terms of leaders on the pitch and ready to fight for trophies.
“We are in the FA Cup and [have] the Premier League left, so we have to try to go and win both of them trophies, and just do our best to continue improving.”
