AC Milan is enjoying a good spell at the moment. The players’ confidence is building up and one of Manchester United’s loanees is no exception.

Diogo Dalot joined the Rossoneri last summer after getting little playtime at Manchester United. The 21-year-old Portuguese defender has been in the starting team for all of AC Milan’s European clashes. Last month, he secured his first goal and assist for the Italian side.

In light of tomorrow’s match against Celtic, Dalot spoke of his short experience at AC Milan and how well his adaptation is going.

“For me these have been a few fantastic months in terms of adaptation. Italy is similar to Portugal in terms of people, food and so on, so far it’s being perfect,” said the youngster at the press conference.

Dalot assured that he wants to help the club achieve their goals, believing that hard work will get them the results they desire.

“The coach is helping us a lot, he wants to teach us many things. There is a great relationship with him,” Dalot revealed. “We want to get to the top, but we have to work hard. With this mentality we can achieve our goals.”

On a season-long loan from Manchester United, Dalot has been attracting some attention after collecting positive performances at AC Milan.

According to ESPN, the Red Devils aren’t keen on allowing a permanent signing. They have hopes that Diogo may become a first-team regular at Old Trafford. He also offers a great alternative to United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka in matches where they require a more attacking player on the wing.

Given there’s no obligation to buy inserted into the agreement, the Rossoneri will face a tough challenge if they want to keep the Under-21 international.
