Ronald Araujo has attracted interest from Man United, who are keen to sign him this winter.

Manchester United are about to start a new era after the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier this month. The Red Devils have appointed Ralf Rangnick as interim manager until the end of the season. This comes with the anticipation of new transfer activity from the club in the winter.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Man United are weighing up a potential move for Ronald Araujo. Rangnick is reportedly a big fan of the player, planning to add him to his squad this winter.

Following the arrival of Raphael Varane, Man United have decided to further improve their backline in the winter. Araujo seems like a fine addition to Rangnick’s squad.

Araujo has maintained his great form at the heart of Barca’s backline, despite his side’s recent struggles. Man United can reportedly sign Araujo for approximately €60 million. The Uruguayan’s current deal at Camp Nou runs until 2023, but the Spanish giants are yet to renew his deal.

Man United are aware the Catalans are dealing with financial issues. In case Barcelona hesitate to extend Araujo’s deal, the Red Devils will be ready to prize him away. However, they will face competition from several other clubs, who are already planning to lure the young defender away from Cam Nou.
