The Red Devils are linked with a mid-season move for Karim Benzema.

Karim Benzema will reportedly miss Al Ittihad’s tour in Dubai amid interest from Manchester United.

Benzema joined the Saudi Pro League giants as a free agent in the summer, but his integration into the team has been far from easy.

The Frenchman’s rocky relationship with former manager Nuno Espírito Santo affected his start at Al Ittihad. But even after the coach’s departure in early November, Benzema hasn’t reached his best form.

According to Marca, Al Ittihad manager Marcelo Gallardo has dropped Benzema from his squad for a mid-season camp in Dubai. The Spanish source claims that this is not the first time that the ex-Real Madrid star has missed training sessions.

Benzema’s situation has reportedly caught the attention of Manchester United, who are looking to sign a new striker on a six-month loan.

United’s struggle for goalscoring consistency has continued throughout this season, with the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford failing to live up to expectations.

Former Manchester United star Louis Saha has urged the club to improve their attacking line by signing Benzema.

“He [Benzema] will shake up the United frontline and that’s what they need. He will definitely score goals and he will link up the play a lot better,” Saha told Betting Odds.
