A mind-blowing performance from Manchester United now brings them on top of Group H in the Champions League. The Red Devils evidently displayed a tremendous level of effort as they beat Leipzig by a massive 5-0 scoreline.
Within the first 21 minutes, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side took the lead following youngster Mason Greenwood’s precise finish. Once again, Paul Pogba proved his distribution skills with a through-ball for the England international.
Greenwood however made no mistake to slot it past Peter Gulacsi what seemed to be offside in the first place. Consequently, the 19-year-old now becomes the first young player to score in the Champions League for United.
Although, Marcus Rashford came off the bench to steal the show which already started properly for United. His hat-trick aided the Red Devils to create a hammering goal-margin over Leipzig. Moreover, another important substitution Bruno Fernandes yet again provided an assist to Rashford in the 74th minute.
Furthermore, Anthony Martial was brought down in the penalty area by Marcel Sabitzer in the 86th minute. The France international found the perfect spot to add to his account of goals for United.
By putting a cherry on the top, Rashford netted a late goal to complete his hat-trick in injury time.
