What happened?
Copenhagen found a brilliant start to the game as they put pressure on United’s backline early on. The visitors hit the post in the fifth minute, but it didn’t take too long for United to get in control of the match. The Red Devils stayed in charge of the possession but struggled to create any serious chances before the break.
The Red Devils significantly increased the pressure on Copenhagen’s backline as soon as the second half started. Following two missed chances from Bruno Fernandes and Marco Rashford, United finally scored the opener through Maguire in the 72nd minute. The England international converted Christian Eriksen’s precise cross with a powerful header to put the hosts ahead.
Copenhagen pushed hard to score the opener in the final ten minutes, attacking United from both flanks. The Danish side finally got a golden chance to score through a penalty kick in the 97th minute. But Andre Onana saved Jordan Larsson’s shot with a brilliant reaction to secure United’s victory.

Onana made a brilliant performance as he helped United claim their first Champions League victory of the season. The Cameroon international made a total of four saves, including a last-minute reaction to stop Larsson’s penalty.
