One of the most influential players for the Foxes, the Belgium international has received admiring glances from a wider audience.

Youri Tielemans is open to committing his future at Leicester City, saying the club has a “perfect environment” to fulfill his ambitions of winning silverware.

Tielemans is contracted to Leicester through to the summer of 2023. There have been claims that the club are working to tie him to fresh terms.

The 23-year-old joined the Premier League from Ligue 1 side Monaco in January 2019. Signed initially on a loan deal, his move was made permanent six months later for a reported fee of £35 million (€40m).

He has since become an integral part of Brendan Rodgers’ team, evident from the fact that the Belgian midfielder has featured 34 times this season and has missed just two games in all competitions so far.

Quizzed if he sees himself remain at the King Power Stadium, Tielemans responded, via Goal: “Yes, why not?

“This is a club where you have the best environment you can have, especially with this new training ground. The people around you just want the best for you.

“It’s brilliant to be here. I really like it here. We’ll see what’s coming in the future. But I think the environment is just perfect to win trophies here. You can’t predict the future but I think everything around the club and inside the club is made for it.”
