Manchester City thrash Leeds United with a humiliating result as they stay on top of the Premier League table.
Manchester City defeated Leeds United 7-0 in their Premier League game on Tuesday. The Citizens extend their lead on top of the table as they expose Leeds’ issues with a sensational performance.

Unlike their Saturday’s 1-0 win over Watford, Man City dominated the game right from the beginning. Phil Foden opened the scoring for City in the eighth minute, with Jack Grealish doubling their lead five minutes later.
The goal ended the Man City star’s long-running goal drought as he scored his third goal in 19 games.
Following Grealish’s goal, Leeds’ defence got more vulnerable as they tried to mount a comeback. This was enough for Man City to score their third goal of the night through Kevin De Bruyne in the 32nd minute.
City kept their hunger for scoring more goals in the second half. Ilkay Gundogan provided his first assist of the night for Riyad Mahrez, who made it 4-0 for Guardiola’s side only four minutes into the second half.
Following Gundogan’s second assist, De Bruyne completed his brace with a stunning strike just after the hour-mark. After receiving the ball behind the box, the Belgian hammered a 25-yard shot into the roof of the net.
Man City did not let the pace of the game drop, even after the fifth goal. Two more goals from John Stones and Nathan Ake made it 7-0 for the Citizens in the last twenty minutes.
The amazing performance keeps Man City on top of the Premier League table with 41 points from their 17 games. The Citizens also continue their seven-game winning streak in the league. They will now prepare to face Newcastle in their next league match on Sunday.
On the other hand, Leeds United suffered another painful defeat against the Premier League front runners. Marcelo Bielsa’s side are now only five points above the relegations zone. They will meet Arsenal in their next game on Saturday.
