Only four minutes into the game, Dejan Kulusevski silenced the Etihad Stadium with an early opener for Tottenham. Manchester City went on with their plan to put maximum pressure on their rivals by dominating the possession.

Their plans seemed to have worked out when Ilkay Gundogan scored the equalizer in the 34th minute. It was the City midfielder’s 33rd Premier League goal, levelling Mesut Ozil’s record for most EPL goals scored by a German player.

However, Tottenham were too clinical with their counter-attacks to give up after the 1-1 draw in the first half. As soon as the second half started, City pushed for the second goal. However, it was Harry Kane who restored the Spurs’ lead by converting their second shot on target just before the hour-mark.

Following another half hour of City’s relentless attacks, they finally equalized the game again through Riyad Mahrez’s penalty in the 92nd minute. However, a brilliant header from Harry Kane won the game for Spurs three minutes later.

Kulusevski completed his incredible performance by delivering a perfect cross from the left flank. Kane then flew above Kyle Walker to send the ball past Ederson into the right corner.

Manchester City’s lead at the top of the table shrinks down to six points after Liverpool won Norwich 3-0 earlier today. The Citizens will travel to Merseyside to face Everton on Saturday while seventh-placed Spurs meet Burnley on Wednesday.
