Man City came back from behind to secure their place on top of the group table.
Manchester City defeated PSG in a tense Champions League game on Wednesday. By mounting a second-half comeback, the Citizens secured their top spot on the group table.
Man City remain on top!
After a quiet first half, both teams started to look more dangerous in the second period. Kylian Mbappe converted Lionel Messi’s assist to open the scoring for PSG. However, Man City soon changed the result.
Raheem Sterling equalized the game for the Citizens only 13 minutes later as they gradually found their attacking rhythm. Man City continued to push for the match-winner, constantly threatening PSG’s backline with through balls.
They ultimately got what they were looking for in the 76th minute. Bernardo Silva tapped a precise pass inside the box, which found Gabriel Jesus in the best place. The Brazilian won the game for Man City by putting the ball behind Keylor Navas.
Manchester City remain on top of the Group A table as they display yet another brilliant performance. PSG once again showed they are not quite there, especially in terms of their defensive performance. They will, however, qualify as the group’s second team ahead of RB Leipzig and Club Brugge.
