The Red Devils will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stage.
The Champions League draaxw for the 2023-24 season took place on Thursday, with elite European sides discovering their opponents.
Manchester United are back in the Champions League after finishing third in the Premier League last season. The Red Devils will face Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen, and Galatasaray in Group A of the tournament.
Reacting to the draw, Thomas Tuchel told Bayern’s official website: “In the Champions League, every opponent is a challenge that we take on with big enthusiasm and dedication.
“Manchester United, FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray are extremely attractive group opponents for the team and fans alike, and we look forward to getting things started in Europe soon.”
Veteran forward Thomas Muller added: “We are happy that the Champions League is starting again. Prestigious duels and three clubs from top cities await us. Manchester United is a force in world football. In Erik ten Hag, they have a former Bayern Amateurs coach. Copenhagen and Galatasaray have exciting teams. The midweek games are the icing on the cake in our schedule.”
An exact schedule for the upcoming group stage matches hasn’t been announced by the UEFA yet. But we know when each matchday of the group stage will be played.
