Arsenal will hope to continue their perfect star to the new season in the standout EPL game of the weekend.

Mikel Arteta has revealed Oleksandr Zinchenko will miss Arsenal’s upcoming match against Manchester United.

The Gunners will travel to Old Trafford on the back of a brilliant start to the 2022-23 season.

Following a narrow win over Fulham last Saturday, the Gunners hope to have two key players back for the upcoming match.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference, Arteta gave an update on Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale.

He said: “Those two they’ve been assessed. We will see more tomorrow. Hopefully they’ll be available to train with the team.”

Arteta also confirmed he won’t have Zinchenko in his squad for the match.

“After missing two games and not being able to train with the team yet, unfortunately that’s the situation that we have,” Arteta added on the Ukrainian star.

Arsenal are also dealing with injury problems in their midfield, where Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny have stayed out of action.

The Gunners pushed hard to sign Aston Villa’s Douglas Luis on the transfer deadline day. But, Steven Gerrard’s side rejected their two offers for the midfielder.

Asked about Arsenal’s activity on the deadline day, Arteta added: “We pushed to strengthen the team and bring the best possible people and players into the football club.

“We have managed that to a certain level, but then we have our limitations. Time was a big limitation with what happened in the last 72 hours in our midfield.

“We tried to act but we didn’t find the right player.”
