The English star has trained individually despite staying in Manchester during the World Cup.

Erik ten Hag has admitted Jadon Sancho might stay out of action when Manchester United return to Premier League this Tuesday.

Sancho hasn’t featured for Man Utd since their 1-1 draw against Chelsea on October 22. Gareth Southgate then left him out of England’s squad for the World Cup, extending his stay on the sidelines.

Sancho didn’t travel with the Red Devils to their training Camp in Spain earlier this month. In an interview back then, Ten Hag admitted the 22-year-old wasn’t in “the right status or fitness state” to train with the rest of the squad.

As United prepare for their return to the Premier League, Ten Hag revealed Sancho will most likely miss his side’s match against Nottingham Forest.

“I don’t think so,” Ten Hag responded when asked whether Sancho would play in the upcoming match.

The Dutchman went on to suggest Sancho will work under performance psychologist Rainier Koers.

“He [Koers] is here for the whole season, working as part of the coaching staff on man management,” Ten Hag said.

“He is working with the squad, but also with the staff and with all the departments.

“That’s his job – one of his jobs – to get the right spirit in individuals and in the team.”
