The English forward has played a key role in Man Utd’s run of four consecutive wins.
Erik ten Hag believes Marcus Rashford feels comfortable with his style of play at Manchester United.
Rashford has rediscovered his best form since the start of the current season. The English star has scored three goals and provided two assists in his six league appearances for the Red Devils.
Speaking ahead of Man Utd’s first European game of the season against Real Sociedad, Ten Hag opened up on Rashford’s newly-found form.
“It’s difficult for me to talk about the past. What I see is a happy Marcus Rashford,” the Dutchman said.
“We worked really hard the last two months with him on different aspects. He likes it, he wants to transfer it to the pitch.
“It started with happiness, he comes in every day, he enjoys it, he’s smiling, a really positive vibe, and if you put all of those things together – like the way of play – and you are happy, you will contribute more to the team.”
Asked about a possible contract extension for Rashford, Ten Hag responded: “Definitely. I don’t think he’s out of contract and I think United control the situation.”
United face Sociedad on the back of wins over Liverpool, Southampton, Leicester City and Arsenal in the Premier League.
Next up, the Red Devils will take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
