The English winger hasn’t played for the Red Devils since late October.
Erik ten Hag has confirmed Jadon Sancho will return to Manchester United’s squad against Nottingham Forest.
After working on an individual training program for nearly three months, Sancho returned to Man Utd’s team training last week. The English winger, however, remained out of United’s squad for their cup games against Forest and Reading.
As the Red Devils prepare to meet Forest again in the second leg of their Carabao Cup clash, Ten Hag confirms both Sancho and Antony Martial will be available for the game.
“I think tomorrow that Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho will return in the game squad, but Scott McTominay will still be absent,” Ten Hag told reporters.
Having won the first leg with a 3-0 result, United will be able to experiment with their squad in the upcoming game. The Dutchman might test a new midfield unit after the injury of Christian Eriksen.
Asked about a reported loan offer for Bayern Munich’s Marcel Sabitzer, Ten Hag added: “Something on Deadline Day is difficult. You can’t make policy on bad injuries.
“We have players in the midfield, good players, players who can fill the gap”.
After their match against Forest, United will return to the Premier League to host Crystal Palace on Saturday.
