The Brazilian star has arrived at Man Utd after his big-money move from Ajax.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted he might bench Antony for his side’s upcoming game against Arsenal.

The Red Devils have bounced back from their disappointing start to the new season, claiming three consecutive league victories.

Ten Hag’s men will face their toughest test so far when they host Arsenal this weekend. However, the Dutchman is not sure if his former player is ready to make his debut as soon as this Sunday.

“Today he did his first training, individually,” he said of Antony on Thursday. “Tomorrow we have a team session and Saturday we have a team session.

“So I will think about it, and we will take a decision.”

Ten Hag decided against starting Casemiro in his side’s 1-0 win over Leicester on Thursday. The Brazilian went on to display a solid performance when he came in after the hour-mark.

However, Ten Hag refused to confirm him as a starter for the upcoming clash against Arsenal.

“It is an option,” the Man Utd boss said of having Casemiro in his lineup.

“I have seen Arsenal, they are a tough opponent. They have started very well, as we all know, this season. You can see they are a team who are together with the coach, he is bringing his philosophy.

“For us it’s a good test, we are really looking forward to it.

“We will pick the right team to start, but as you see, it’s not only the team, we have a squad.”
