The Red Devils are open to selling another midfielder later this season.

Manchester United’s Scott McTominay could be on the move in the January transfer window, as reports suggest the club is once again looking to offload the Scottish midfielder.

This comes after a failed attempt to secure his departure during the summer transfer window, where negotiations with Bayern Munich ultimately fell through.

In a surprising twist, Fulham also expressed interest in acquiring McTominay, eyeing him as a replacement for Joao Palhinha, who was initially set to join Bayern Munich. However, McTominay opted to stay at Old Trafford, rejecting Fulham’s advances.

Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano shed light on the situation, stating that McTominay had declined Fulham’s offer. Despite this, Man Utd seems determined to find a new home for the 26-year-old midfielder when the transfer window reopens in January, as reported by the Evening Standard.

This season, McTominay has had limited playing time, making just a seven-minute appearance in the Premier League. With competition from players like Casemiro and Sofyan Amrabat, his opportunities have been severely restricted.

While McTominay remains under contract with Man Utd until 2025, the lack of playing time may prompt him to seek a fresh challenge elsewhere. West Ham also expressed interest in the midfielder during the summer but failed to secure his signature.

Let’s see if the 26-year-old would complete a mid-season move away from Old Trafford this winter.
