The England international has entered negotiations with Man Utd over a possible contract extension.

Marcus Rashfords has dismissed reports about his massive wage demand at Manchester United.

According to Daily Star, Rashford is looking to land a new £500,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford. Such a deal would make Rashford the highest-earning player in the Premier League.

The England international will enter the final 12 months of his current contract. United have been eager to tie him down to a new contract as soon as possible to avoid competition from other clubs.

A few hours after the story broke out, Rashford denied rumours about his wage demands in an Instagram story.

“Another non-story flying around about my advisors and me making demands,” the 25-year-old wrote. “It’s complete nonsense! My aim and the club’s aims are to finish as high as possible in the league and to try and win a cup or two.”

The Man Utd forward finished his message with a “focused” hashtag.

Rashford has enjoyed an incredible form-revival under Erik ten Hag this season. He has registered 14 goals and three assists in his 26 Premier League appearances for the English giants.

Man Utd will face Newcastle in their first game after the international break on Sunday. Rashford and co will then host Brentford in their next league match three days later.
