The Red Devils are already considering replacements on the right-hand side of their backline.

Wolves have reportedly contacted Manchester United about a possible move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in January.

The 25-year-old has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford since Erik ten Hag’s arrival. Having played only one game for the Red Devils this season, Wan-Bissaka is on the club’s exit list this winter.

According to 90min, Wolves are leading the race to sign the English right-back despite interest from the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham.

Wan-Bissaka has two years left on his current deal at Old Trafford. Having joined United on a £50m move in 2019, he is set to leave the club on a far cheaper transfer fee.

Man Utd are even open to sending Wan-Bissaka on a loan deal, which could appeal to Wolves. Signing a new right-back is reportedly Julen Lopetegui’s main priority for the upcoming transfer window.

Wolves are also eyeing a move for Real Valladolid’s Ivan Fresneda. However, given the competition for the teenage star, a bid for Wan-Bissaka looks more likely.

Wolves hope to sign the Man Utd defender on a loan deal with an obligation to buy as part of their plans to improve their squad in January.

Lopetegui’s men start the second half of the season at the rock bottom of the Premier League table. Wolves will lock horns with Everton in their next league game on December 26.
