The Red Devils’ injury list has grown significantly in the past few weeks.

Manchester United forward Antony will miss his side’s upcoming match against Leeds United in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace’s Jeffrey Schlupp pushed Antony into the advertising boards in the 70th minute of United’s 2-1 victory over the Eagles on Saturday.

Erik ten Hag subbed off the Brazil international a few moments later, with Antony leaving the pitch in pain. The game also saw Casemiro receive a straight red card, missing the Red Devils’ next three league matches.

In addition to the Brazilian pair, two more players will stay out of action with fitness problems.

“They [Martial and McTominay] are not involved tomorrow,” the Man Utd boss said on Tuesday.

“And the same with Antony dos Santos. He is also not available for tomorrow so we have to sort that out.”

Man Utd are also dealing with the injuries of Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen. But Ten Hag refuses to use fitness issues as an excuse.

“I’m the manager. I always have to play with the players who are available,” he added.

“We have a squad, we have many good players available in that squad, who are not always in the starting XI.

“So, others [will] get the chance and I have to do it. After the game, I can’t say Casemiro is not there, Anthony Martial is not there. No, we have to win.

“This squad, all players in [it], are Man United capable, so they have to perform tomorrow and we have to win the games, no matter who is coming on the pitch.”
