Mount has arrived at Old Trafford on the back of an impressive campaign at Chelsea.

Mason Mount’s experience can help Manchester United in their pursuit of titles next season, according to Christian Eriksen.

Mount broke into Chelsea’s senior squad in 2019, quickly becoming a key player under both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel. His performances were integral to Chelsea’s successful run in the Champions League in 2020-21.

“I mean I think everyone knows his qualities and he’s definitely a player that will add to our team in a very positive way,” Eriksen told Man Utd’s official website.

“I definitely hope he will bring that [experience] and I’m sure he will. Like you said, he’s been in finals and he’s won them.

“So that’s what you want to be as a footballer. Now the aim is he can win something with us as well.”

Mount was a regular free-kick taker in Chelsea but he has serious competition to continue that role at Old Trafford. Last season, Eriksen produced a host of brilliant moments while taking free kicks for the Red Devils.

Asked about the competition for taking set pieces, the Man Utd star responded: “I think we need to get some more free-kicks this season.

“But no, he’s definitely a very good kicker of the ball and, definitely, we’ll [have to] see whoever’s playing, whoever’s on the pitch. I’m sure we’ll find out who’s in the best position to take a free-kick.”
