The Man Utd midfielder has signed a new long-term deal at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are “intensely focused” on the FA Cup final, according to Diogo Dalot.

On Wednesday, the Red Devils announced a new five-year deal for Dalot. The Portuguese full-back has made 107 appearances for Man Utd since arriving from Porto on a £19m deal in 2018.

Contrary to initial expectations, Dalot quickly found his spot in Erik ten Hag’s plans for Man Utd. The 24-year-old made 26 Premier League appearances under the new manager, helping United secure a third-spot finish.

“Playing for Manchester United is one of the highest honours that you can have in football,” the 11-cap Portugal international said.

“We have shared some fantastic moments over the past five years and I’ve grown so much and my passion for this incredible club has only increased since the day that I joined.

“As a group of players, we all feel like we are at the start of a special journey right now.”

Man Utd have a chance to claim their second trophy of the season by winning the FA Cup at Wembley on June 3. Dalo and co will take on Manchester City, who have a chance to become the second English team (after Man Utd) to win the treble.

Dalot added: “I can assure you that I will dedicate myself relentlessly to helping this group to achieve our aims and make the fans proud of this team.

“That drive continues this week with everyone intensely focused on preparations for the FA Cup final.”
