The Brazil international came off with an injury in Manchester United’s last game, and now the club has confirmed how long he will be out of action.
Manchester United have announced that Casemiro will be unavailable to play football for ‘several weeks’.
The 31-year-old midfielder has a hamstring injury. He sustained it during the 3-0 loss to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. The injury forced him to come off at the break.
Casemiro’s setback is another blow for Erik ten Hag. The manager is missing several players, including defensive duo Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw.
The Dutchman did rule Casemiro out for Saturday’s trip to Fulham, but refused to say any more shortly after the Newcastle game.
The former Real Madrid star has made 12 appearances in all competitions this season. He has scored four goals for United and dished out one assist.
Tyrell Malacia and Amad Diallo are also set to stay unavailable for United this weekend. Jadon Sancho currently remains suspended from the first team.
