The Red Devils claimed their second victory in the new Premier League season after a hard-earned comeback at Old Trafford.

Manchester United defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2 in their Premier League match on Saturday. A thrilling game saw the Red Devils defeat their ten-man rivals on home soil.

A second-half comeback!

Forest stunned the hosts with two early goals as they went 2-0 ahead only four minutes into the game. Taiwo Awoniyi and Willy Boly found the back of the net as Man Utd’s backline was surprised twice.

The Red Devils immediately started their efforts to get back into the game. A goal from Christian Eriksen motivated the hosts to mount a comeback. However, they had to wait until after the break to find the equalizer.

Casemiro, who had missed an open goal earlier in the game, made it 2-2 for the Red Devils in the 52nd minute. Erik ten Hag’s side then increased the pressure on Forest’s backline to score their goal of the night.

Things got worse for Forest when Joe Worral was sent off with a straight red card in the 67th minute. United then completed their comeback through Bruno Fernandes’ penalty, getting 3-2 ahead against their ten-man opponents.

Forest pushed hard to escape the defeat in the final ten minutes, but United managed to hold on to their lead, bagging the three points at Old Trafford.

Burno Fernandes played a crucial role in leading Man Utd to their comeback against Forest. The Portuguese midfielder sat up Casemiro for United’s equalizer at the beginning of the second period before scoring the match-winner from the penalty spot later on.
