United cruised past Frank Lampard’s out-of-form side to reach the FA Cup’s next round.
Manchester United defeated Everton 3-1 in their FA Cup game on Friday. The Red Devils continued their seven-game winning streak across all competitions with an easy home victory.

The Red Devils shocked their opponents with an early opener from Antony.
Following a brilliant run and assist from Marcus Rashford, the Brazil international nodded the ball from close range to put the hosts ahead.
Everton, however, managed to get back into the game in the 14th minute. Neal Maupay tried to score from a very tight spot, and his shot somehow squirmed through David De Gea’s legs, with Conor Cody then making it 1-1 with a small touch.
Man Utd immediately started their efforts to restore their lead. However, Everton managed to hold on to their defensive integrity while looking for counter-attacking opportunities.
United eventually managed to break Everton’s resistance seven minutes into the second period.
Another brilliant move from Rashford saw the England international send a powerful cross into Everton’s box. Coady tried to cut the ball out but smashed it into his side’s net, gifting United their second goal of the night.
Everton’s pressure after the own goal got them close to scoring the equalizer several times, including a dismissed goal. However, it was United who managed to extend their lead through Rashford’s penalty in the 97th minute.
The Red Devils will meet Charlton in the EFL Cup on Tuesday before locking horns with Manchester City in the league four days later.
