Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri might join Man United as soon as this winter.

Manchester United could end their long-running hunt for a striker this winter. The English giants have been considering a move for Erling Haaland for months. However, they might end up signing a much cheaper option.

According to Spanish outlet Super Deporte (via MEN), Manchester United are eyeing a January move for Youssef En-Nesyri.

En-Nesyri has established himself as a key player at Sevilla since joining the club last year. The Moroccan striker nearly joined West Ham in the summer. However, the Spanish side rejected the Hammers’ €30 million offer for the player.

Man United is unlikely to extend Edinson Cavani’s contract at the end of the current season. The 37-year-old’s departure might require reinforcements upfront, but Man United want to have Nasyri in their squad before that.

The club is reportedly keen to sign a reliable striker before stepping into a bidding battle for Haaland in the summer. Sevilla will reportedly demand around £40m for the Morocco international, which is unlikely to scare the English giants away.

The Red Devils target will play for Morocco in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations. The Atlas Lions will play against Ghana, Comoros, and Gabon in the competition’s Group of Death.

However, Morocco have shown great form lately. They have qualified to the final stage of Africa’s World Cup qualifiers, collecting 18 points from six matches.
