The Red Devils will take on Everton in a crunch league game on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo was not able to play for Manchester United in their first game after the international break. The Red Devils suffered an underwhelming 1-1 draw against Leicester City at Old Trafford while they continue their goalscoring struggles in the absence of the Portuguese superstar.

The Red Devils have slipped to seventh place on the table, with a top-four finish looking more and more out of reach for Ralf Rangnick’s side.

Ahead of his side’s upcoming game against Everton, Rangnick has confirmed Ronaldo is back in the squad.

“Cristiano is back again. Luke [Shaw] is still injured. He will be out for the next two or three weeks,” Rangnick told a press conference.

“[Edinson] Cavani is still injured, [Raphael] Varane is still injured and the same is true with [Scott] McTominay I’m afraid.”

Asked about the importance of the upcoming battle, the German manager responded: “That happens in football [big teams struggling]. Not only England but in other leagues. But for us again, it’s about being aware about the current situation.

“We still have a chance to qualify for the Champions League, but in order to do that we need to win and we definitely need to win the game tomorrow.

“If you look at the current situation in the table, we can’t afford to drop points anymore and I think everybody in the team and the squad is aware of that.”

United are level on points with West Ham, sitting three points behind fifth and fourth-placed Tottenham and Arsenal. As the excitement over Premier League’s top-four race peaks, we invite you to check our exclusive betting tips on the upcoming games here!
