Man United send video message to Hannibal Mejbri ahead of Arab Cup final

The 18-year-old is currently preparing for the Arab Cup final with the Tunisian national team.

Manchester United players and staff have wished Hannibal Mejbri luck ahead of the FIFA Arab Cup final between Tunisia and Algeria.

The French-born midfielder has played in all five of Tunisia’s outings on route to the final in Qatar, drawing widespread praise for his performances on the big stage under manager Mondher Kebaier.

Mejbri now hopes to pull off another scintillating display on Saturday to lead Tunisia to a first Arab Cup title since 1963.

So, ahead of kick-off at 16:00 (CET), Manchester United posted a special message on Twitter for the teenager.

In the video, a series of good luck messages were aired from Mejbri’s coaches and teammates at Old Trafford.

Technical director Darren Fletcher, academy head Nick Cox, development coach Mark Dempsey, former defender Wes Brown, U-23 coach Neil Wood and his assistant Neil Ryan all featured.

Mejbri’s teammates Anthony Elanga, Noam Emeran, Bjorn Hardley, Ethan Laird, Dillon Hoogewerf, Teden Mengi, D’Mani Mellor, and Dishon Bernard also wished him well.
