The Man United forward has slipped down the pecking order since Rangnick has arrived at the club.

Marcus Rashford has seen his game time at Manchester United decreasing rapidly over the past few months. An undisputed starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Rashford now struggles to secure his place in Ralf Rangnick’s lineup.

Last week, the German boss preferred to keep the 24-year-old out of his starting XI as he played without a recognized centre-forward against Manchester City.

In a pre-match interview ahead of his side’s upcoming match against Tottenham, Rangnick has spoken about Rashford’s form.

“Marcus has to play on the same level he trains. This is all,” the Man United boss said at Friday’s pre-match news conference.

“Marcus is training well, he’s got an abundant amount of talent, almost everything you need for a modern striker.

“It’s now about transforming the performance of the training sessions into the regular games.”

In his 24 appearances for the Red Devils this season, Rashford has scored five goals and provided two assists. The England international eyes a comeback to United’s XI against Tottenham. However, a potential return for Cristiano Ronaldo might endanger his chances of starting the game.
