The Red Devils might have two key players back for the upcoming game.

Manchester United will face Tottenham in their next league game on Saturday. Following a heavy derby defeat against City, the Red Devils will have to face Antonio Conte’s in-form Spurs.

Ralf Rangnick attracted criticism for omitting Cristiano Ronaldo from his derby lineup. The Portuguese superstar has reportedly missed his side’s training and worked individually on Wednesday.

With Ronaldo still being a doubt for the upcoming game, the German manager will struggle to find enough attacking options. However, the return of Edinson Cavani might fix this problem sooner than expected.

According to the club’s website, Cavani has joined team training ahead of the upcoming game. This will not guarantee his return against the Spurs, but he will most likely re-join the squad.

Another injury boost for United is the return of Raphael Varane to team training. The French centre-back has returned from a Covid injury, providing United with much-needed intensity in their backline.

The performance against Manchester City, once again, revealed how unstable a duo of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof could get against top teams.

The last time United met Spurs, they defeated the London side 3-0 while Varane pulled off a brilliant display to control Harry Kane. Can the Red Devils bounce back quickly from the City draw, or the Spurs are going to continue their impressive run of recent weeks?
